Sustainability at Ruland
Taking responsibility. Shaping the future.
For Ruland, sustainability is more than a trend. It is part of our corporate philosophy. As specialists in process systems for liquid products, our process plants combine efficiency and environmental awareness – today and tomorrow. With ecological paving, the preservation of the old tree population at our Neustadt site and the use of solar energy, we live and breathe environmental friendliness and sustainability. We invest in environmentally friendly infrastructure continuously and support local projects for environmental protection.
Technology meets responsibility
Durability, resources, CO2 reduction
Our manufacturing and operations are designed for durability, energy efficiency and resource conservation. We keep our energy consumption low by using modern technologies such as heat recovery, infrared heating, photovoltaics and resource-saving processes. In this way, we make an active contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. We are also active in the area of mobility: electric charging stations for cars and bicycles are available on our company premises. We are converting our vehicle fleet to hybrid and electric vehicles. We offer our employees hybrid and electric vehicles as well as e-bikes. To minimise transport-related emissions, we are replacing business trips with digital meetings wherever possible. The Remodis Group has awarded us a sustainability certificate in recognition of our contribution to climate protection and environmental conservation through savings in raw materials, energy and greenhouse gases.
Proven sustainability
Environment, labour and human rights, procurement
Our commitment within the entire Ruland Group is assessed annually by EcoVadis in the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The EcoVadis rating shows clearly that Ruland is on the right track. In addition, we have been supporting members of the UN Global Compact since 2025. As a company, we are actively committed to the 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.
Corporate commitment
Social rights, social and entrepreneurial responsibilities and industrial relations
In our relationships with customers, employees and suppliers, we have lived Corporate Social Responsibility consistently since the beginning of our company’s history. This is declared in our Corporate Social Responsibility Statement. Our suppliers are also committed to complying with our binding Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct governs ethical business practices, human rights, environmental standards and working conditions. We consider regular assessments and supplier self-disclosure to be an integral part of our work process.
Sustainability in plant engineering
Customised, durable, future-proof
“Every plant we design and build is customised and future-proof. We focus on durable process plants that can be used flexibly,‘ says Florian Klein, managing partner at Ruland, adding, ’With processes that conserve resources and intelligent automation, we support our customers in achieving their own sustainability goals. This is how we think holistically about technology. Precision in plant engineering, reliability and responsibility for the environment and society characterise our daily actions. In this way, we are laying the foundation for a strong future – for our team, our customers and our region.”
