Efficient CIP cleaning using compressed air pulses
Increasing demands for hygiene, sustainability and process reliability mean that traditional CIP processes are constantly being further developed. Ruland is pursuing a new approach in collaboration with Comprex Engineering GmbH: the patented Comprex® technology combines cleaning with water and strategically applied pulses of compressed air.
The process helps to remove product residues from pipework and process plant. This enables cleaning processes to be carried out more efficiently and reduces the consumption of water, energy and cleaning chemicals.
Initial applications in customer projects, as well as tests carried out at Ruland’s technical centre using a paste-like product, showed a reduction in water consumption of around 75 per cent. At the same time, automated, monitored processes ensure a high level of process reliability and traceability.
Ruland Engineering & Consulting is currently seeking companies in the food and drink industry that would like to test the process in their production facilities. The focus is on applications requiring extensive cleaning or products where potential savings in media and operating costs are of particular interest.
Would you like to find out whether Comprex® technology is suitable for your processes? We look forward to discussing this with you.
